Happy to announce our second major graphic novel! When Neelam Kumar (author and an inspiring cancer survivor) reached out to us to adapt and create a graphic novel based on her best-seller about cancer but with a sense of humour, we were excited!

We immediately got cracking on understanding her story, her journey and the spirit of the original novel and re-interpreted it for the graphic novel medium and audience.  

We have just finished writing the story / script and working hard to create some gorgeous art to tell this very unique story. Here is a sneak-peek!

The Graphic Novel

Based on the 2012 award-winning animated film by Kushal Ruia, this graphic novel delves deeper into the story with even more of the exquisite production style from the animated feature. This was the first such graphic novel created by the legendary Indian children's book publisher— Amar Chitra Katha

Toestee Tales

TOESTEE TALES is an original IP created by Moovix as a result of a  commission by Heat Holders, a leading thermal socks  brand in the UK/ US. 

Toestee Tales also marks Moovix's first script-to-screen project which has been tailor-made to deliver quality animated content on a limited budget for internet streaming.

The series launched in Fall/Winter 2015 and with it's success, we continue to create other content for Heat Holders centred around this IP — Corporate / Product Explainer Video, Social Media Content etc

Toestee is an average dragon much like an average everyday person in our world. Each episode has Toestee facing a different challenge that we all face everyday— but with Toestee, even the most mundane situation is not without humour and warmth.

Before co-founding Moovix, Kushal Ruia headed ACK Animation Studios for 5 years where he produced / directed a significant body of work— including  the critically-acclaimed & award-winning theatrical feature, Sons of Ram. This was also the first theatrical film produced by India's legendary children's publishing house of Amar Chitra Katha.

Below is a brief representation of this body of work, which spans TV shows, films, comics, graphic novels, apps etc.

Stereoscopic 3D Theatrical Feature Film, 2012

Sons Of Ram tells the epic story of the twins, Luv & Kush, told like never before with beautiful designs and art rarely seen in Indian animation. With a surprising mix of laughs, fantasy and drama for all ages, this cast of mythical creatures and inspiring heroes take you on an adventure you will never forget!

Though the film was made at shoe-string budget and record 10 months, it was released in stereoscopic 3D to unanimous critical acclaim in November 2012.
